hi everyone............sorry but I will not be in class tonight.  I've been hit all of the sudden with what feels like the flu!  And I'm sure no one wants to catch it.  Both my boys had it not that long ago, so it only figures I would get it at some point.

My what a wonderful weekend this has been.  Hope everyone got the chance to go outside and enjoy.

Well, my project is going to be on finding your Zodiac sign and its characteristics.  The user will enter their birth date and then will have the option of either getting just their sign and name or getting those plus the characteristics that go along with their sign.

Depending upon how I do coding THAT and getting it to work, I may get daring and access a web site that would give the user their monthly horoscope.

I hope everyone has had the chance to enjoy the nice weather.  In between reading up on all the new VB "stuff", I've gone outside and worked in my gardens.

I have to admit this project is going to be a BIG challenge for me.  This class has not been easy and there is still so much I don't understand or get.  And it doesn't seem to matter how much reading or studying I do.  Programing is not for me.  I don't have the programer's mind set nor can I grasp it or understand it.

I am glad that there are those who do "get" it and truly enjoy the art of programing.

It's the wearing of the green..........and it's spring break.

Ok, I have two questions.  First I've got the first part of lab 3 completed.  The only issue is that I can not get the message box to show when a non-numeric number is entered.  Did that loop ever work?  I did not work through the original code prior to changing it.  If it never worked in the first place, that would be a good thing to know.  If it did work straightout, then I goofed somewhere and I would need to know that too.

Also, for assignment 3 - which I've started - and this may seem like a stupid question, but how do I make and design the second design screen that will hold the final results?  I really have no clues.

thanks.........Lisa

Well the weekend is finally here.  Thank goodness.  But I won't be laying around the house eating chocolates and watching soaps.......... no I'll be helping out my boyfriend with remodeling his dinning room.  This includes putting in huge window - putting up a new ceiling, painting and installing a whole new staircase.  Of course we won't finish it all this weekend.  But hopefully we'll at least get the staircase done.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.  I know I will - I've already taken the midterm.

This was taken in the U.P.  Isn't she beautiful?

Howdy!

Dan did anyone ever get back to you regarding the Midterm?  well, if this a repeat - then don't bother reading........... The midtern can be done anytime between Tuesday March 5th through Sunday March 10 midnight.  You access it through D2L - once you've logged in and begin working - you will have 2 hours to complete.  No putting the test on "hold".  Obviously it is open book. It consists of multiple choice and short answers.  Hope this helps.

Well folks we had a nice weekend but that was short-lived.

And just in case you were wondering............
