Hi,

Well I think I finally got Visual Studio to work.  I am anxious to practice some more.  I downloaded the patches from Microsoft and got an error that only 5 of the 8 recommended ones worked.  I hope this isn't a big deal.  It took forever, even with Roadrunner, to get the patches.  I will have more to report after I try using VB from home!

My questions/comments for Reading #1 will be posted shortly.  Nice action shot of Dr. Haines snowblowing!  Winter in Wisconsin, isn't it fun.  Keep warm everyone.

Hi Everyone,

Well, last night was our first lab and I was a tad bit frustrated with myself.  This programming thing is very new to me and I can't wait until we can load vb on our own machines so I can practice some more.

Does anyone know the hours of the computer lab or how I'd find out?

Hi Everyone,

This is my first blog so I hope I'm doing it right.  I am a little concerned with the varying degrees of experience of our classmates.  Some students seem to have so much experience and most of the class has none.

I am looking forward to learning a lot and hope the programming Gods are smiling down on me.
